Here’s a closer look at the fastest-growing startups in Southern Europe and France (source: Sifted 100):

• Dominant Sectors: B2B SaaS retains its leading position, comprising 37% of the featured companies, while Fintech follows at 21%.
• Regional Performance: France solidifies its status as a startup hub, contributing 44% of the list, including 7 of the top 10 startups. Paris alone accounts for 38 of the 44 French companies. Meanwhile, Italy and Spain are demonstrating rapid advancement, with 28 and 18 startups making the cut, respectively. Milan and Barcelona each feature 9 companies on the list.

Curiously, despite significant enthusiasm surrounding Greece’s vibrant startup ecosystem, only two Greece-based companies are featured in the top 100. This observation may highlight the challenges Greek startups face in scaling up.
